Tina and Keith Adair have grown up in bluegrass. Their parents, Jerry and Debra, have performed in a bluegrass band in Haleyville for 28 years, and Tina has been performing with them since she was 3 years old. Possessing a remarkable voice, she began recording at 8 and released her first solo recording at 11. Older brother Keith is also a fine singer. All of the Adairs are outstanding instrumentalists. Formerly known as "Bluegrass Edition," they took on their family name after winning the Pizza Hut International Bluegrass Showdown in Owensboro, Kentucky, in 1996. Chosen first over more than 100 bands from across the U.S., they won a recording contract with Sugar Hill and fame beyond the city limits of Haleyville.
