Mr. A.M. Looney, one of the first settlers of our settlement died almost suddenly on last Friday morning about 6 o’clock. He was at home and from what I can learn he was out on the veranda washing for breakfast, when someone of the family went to see about him he was lying out in the yard about dead. He has been afflicted for several years and his death was somewhat expected, but not so sudden. [A.M.
