Died At Haleyville. Mrs. Bettie Dendy died at her home in Haleyville July 2, and was buried at that place on the following day. The deceased was the eldest sister of our esteemed friend, David B. Lewis of Jasper Route No. 1, who, with his brothers, E.S. Lewis, of Cullman County, and M.P. Lewis, of Blount county, were in Jasper Monday. The two brothers left for their respective homes the same day. All three attended at the bedside of their sister in her last illness. [Betty Dendy, 17 Mar 1844 – 1 Jul 1912; Hillcrest Cemetery]
