In Remembrance of B.N. Woodard. The Death Angel came to our home in Winston County and took our dear father out of his suffering in this old world on the 11th of December 1932. He had been bedridden since September 12th. His sickness and death was due to a stomach tumor. All was done for him that doctors and loving hands could do, but God saw fit to take father from us. It makes our hearts sad to think of giving him up, but our loss is heaven’s gain. He was a faithful minister of the gospel for a number of years. He had a host of friends in Blount County who will be sad to learn of his death. The deceased was survived by his wife, J.C. Woodard, five sons and three daughters, T.P. Woodard and J.D. Woodard of Winston County, H.R. Woodard and L.M. Woodard of Blount County, Mrs. Mary Roberts, Mrs. Ida McCoy and Mrs. Tamer Robertson, all of Winston County and several grandchildren; two brothers, J.R. Woodard of Cullman and John Woodard were not present. The funeral was held at Liberty Church near Helicon in Winston County and was conducted by Rev. John White, according to his request. Written by his son, J.D. Woodard.
