Ethelyn Freeman, 89, of Gardendale died Sunday, June 27, 2004, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham. The funeral will be at 1 p.m., today, June 29, 2004, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home with burial in Walker Memory Gardens in Jasper. The Rev. Truman Norred will officiate. Collins-Burke Funeral Home is directing. Visitation will be at 11:30 a.m., today, June 29, 2004, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home parlor. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Fletcher T. Russell and Louie E. Freeman; daughter, Betty J. Sellers; son-in-law, Frank Sellers; son, Michael Freeman; seven brothers; and one sister. She is survived by her daughters, Peggy Hill and Cora Lee Plummer and her husband, Jerry, all of Gardendale, and Renae Maples and her husband, Bruce of Arley; sons, Louis C. Russell and his wife, Elizabeth of Fairfield, Thomas S. Russell and his wife, Pat, of Pinson, and Daniel Freeman and his wife, Carol, of Arley; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Grant Johnson, Eric Knight, Bill O'Neal, Bobby Plummer, Scott Russell and Shane Russell.
