Double Springs - Elvin Oscar Alexander, 51, Double Springs, died Sunday, June 29, 1980, in Burdick West Hospital of cancer. He was born in Alabama and was employed by the Highway Department. Funeral services were held in the Union Grove Church Tuesday, July 1, at 2 p.m. with burial in the adjoining cemetery, with Nichols Funeral Home directing. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Helen Alexander, Double springs; two daughters, Shirley Smith, North Fort Myers, Fla. and Anita Parrish, Wauchula, Fla; two granddaughters; four brothers, C. W. Alexander and Earley Alexander, both of Double Springs, Gaines Alexander, Indian Lake Estate, Florida; and Ray Alexander, Lakeland, Florida; one sister, mrs. Hazel Cook, Homestead, Fla; and a host of other relatives and friends.
