Gone to Rest

Edith McCollum, wife of Mr. Jeff McCollum, who resides about 6 miles east of Double Springs, died Nov. 25 at the Walker County Hospital where she had gone for treatment. She had bee seriously ill only about a week before her death, which came as a surprise to her relatives and friends.

She was a good woman, who had hundreds of friends. She leaves a husband and five young children. Her body was laid to rest in the Fairview Cemetery Wednesday afternoon, Rev. E. B. Welborn conducting the funeral services. The Herald force joins their many friends in extending condolence to the bereaved.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the kind friends and neighbors, and all who helped during the sickness and death of our wife and mother, Mrs. Edith McCollum, who died at the Jasper Hospital on Tuesday, Nov. 25th.
