Louie Edgar Freeman, 77, of Arley died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2003, at Baptist Medical Center-Princeton in Birmingham.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. today, Sept. 5, 2003, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home chapel with burial in Walker Memory Gardens. Mike Goforth will officiate. Collins-Burke Funeral Home is directing.

Visitation will be at 11 a.m. today, Sept. 5, 2003, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home parlor.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Betty Sellers, and son, Michael Freeman.

He is survived by his wife, Ethelyn Crauswell Freeman; daughters, Renee Maples and her husband, Bruce, Cora Lee Plummer and her husband, Jerry, and Peggy Hill; son-in-law, Frank Sellers; sons, Daniel Freeman and his wife, Carol, L.C. Russell and his wife, Elizabeth, and Thomas Russell and his wife, Pat; sisters, Ellie Robertson and her husband, John, and Norma Amos; brothers, Otis Freeman and Girland Freeman and his wife, Marjean; 20 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Denny Ray Freeman, Bruce Maples, Billy O'Neal, Bobby Plummer, Scott Russell and Shane Russell.
