Double Springs - One of the beloved elderly citizens of Winston County, Mrs. Mamie Ester Pearl, 72, died July 6, 1982 at Burdick-West Hospital, following an illness of eight weeks. Funeral services were held July 8 from Fairview church with REv. Wiley upton and Rev. Tommy stedman officiating. Nichols Funeral Home directed burial in the Fairview Cemetery. Survivors include the husband, Rufus Pearl; three sons, Herman of Double Springs; Bob of Jasper; James of Double springs; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Ora Lee Tyer, Mrs. Zonie Bell Chambers and Mrs. Annie Mae pruett; three brothers, Hoyt, Jackson and Lacy Alexander.
