The Winston County Genealogical Society met at the Winston County Archives in Double Springs.

I. Minutes:

    1. Minutes from the last meeting were read and corrected as follows: under New Business, Item C should read, "Joann Holdbrooks and Jeanette Albright bought and donated a table in memory of their sister Gerry Noblett."

III. Old Business:

    1. The next order for supplies for the archives will come from donations.
    2. The tax exemption status is tabled until the next meeting.
    3. The Wisconsin Historical Society newsletter has arrived. We will vote on it at the next meeting.
    4. The field trip to Clarkston Covered Bridge and the Civil War Museum has been tentatively set for the second Saturday in July. We will meet at Jack’s at 9:30 A.M.
    5. No particular organization from the society will be at the sesquicentennial event, although members will show up and volunteer services as needed.

IV. New Business/Upcoming Events:

    1. The Town of Arley has donated $500 for the archives. Haleyville Civitans may donate as well.
    2. The picture of Clear Creek Falls that Ronald donated has been submitted for use in the archives.
    3. We will have a country dinner at the next meeting. We will be e-mailing each other for items to bring. P.J. will call about meeting at the community center.
    4. The Trail Tracker newsletter is out.

V. Program:

    1. Brad Heck brought photos of buildings that his great-grandfather helped do stonework for from Walker and Winston Counties.
