The Winston County Genealogical Society met at the Winston County Archives.

I. Minutes:

1. Minutes from the last meeting were read and approved.

II. Treasurer’s Report:

1. Checking - $1,027.95

III. Old Business:

1. The Whizbangs of Oohs and Aahs by Ronald Solberg is a new book in which Winston County is mentioned. The author wants us to have a book signing and for us to participate in the selling of the book for a percentage. We will decide on this in September since we have three county events in October.
2. We have some newspaper duplicates that need to be cleaned before storage.
3. Earline Curtis has agreed to help us with our tax exemption status.

IV. New Business/Upcoming Events:

1. The heritage book deadline is now September 15.
2. Newsletter items are needed for the next publication in September.

V. Program:

1. This is a working meeting cleaning the newspapers.
