III. Old Business:

    1. James Glenn told P.J. that he would donate the Free State Barn to an interested group if they would work on it and restore it. Before we decide, we need to find out all the legalities and whether or not the property will come with it. Dianne will discuss this for a joint venture with the Haleyville Historical Society.
    2. The Winston County Genealogical Society is on Facebook. Everyone needs to check it out and become a member of the group.
    3. So far, eleven T-shirts have been sold. We hope to sell some at Frontier Day in Double Springs.
    4. The preliminary copy of the school map is in from the University of Alabama. Our price is $15 for non-laminated and $25 for laminated. Ronald made a motion that we purchase four laminated, which includes one for the archives, and two non-laminated maps. Everyone agreed, but P.J. will check with the university on smaller sizes. Also, Ronald suggested we charge $5.00 more than our cost.

    1. Robin Sterling’s book Winston County, Alabama Files from the Southern Claims Commission has been released and can be ordered through Robin.
    2. Everyone is invited to the Chris Sheats monument unveiling May 21st, at 12:00 at McKendree Cemetery in Morgan County.
    3. The Tucker Reunion is also May 21.
