Mildred Vest Alexander, 68, of Double Springs, died Tuesday, June 22, at the Burdick West Memorial Hospital. The funeral was at 11 a.m. today at Nichols Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Williams Cemetery. The Rev. Billy King officiated. Nichols Funeral Home directed. She is survived by her husband, F.D. Alexander; four sons, Kenneth Alexander and Bobby Alexander, both of Double Springs, Glenn Alexander of Arab and David Alexander of Haleyville; four brothers, Elvis Vest and Walter Vest, both of Double Springs, Howard Vest of Alma, Michigan, and Ted Vest of Birmingham; six sisters, Floy Thompson of Trenton, Ga, Ella Poore of Haleyville, Barbara Rice of Double Springs, Lola Avenger of Holly Hill, S.C. and Eunice Rice and Audrey Pearl, both of Jasper and eight grandchildren.
