N. A. McCullar departed this life Jan. 11, 1935. He suffered only 24 hours, with an absess on the brain. He left to mourn his going 12 children - 9 girls, 3 boys, about 50 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, 1 sister, 6 brothers and a host of relatives and friends.

We miss his presence, but we feel assured that he is at rest with his loving wife who went on 10 months before his going. He was laid to rest at the Williams cemetery near Black Pond. Revs. J. J. Bartlett and Jimmie Scoggins conducted the burial services. He was converted at the age of 16 and had been a faithful member of the Missionary Baptist church ever since. He was 71 years, 11 months and 8 days old.

We all miss his cheerful presence,
Our home is lonely and blue
We all miss him in everything we do.
He's safe in the arms of Jesus,
Safe on His gentle breast.
There by His love o'er shadowed
Sweetly, his sould shall rest.

Written by his daughers-in-law, Thelma and Zella McCullar
