Old Ingle Cemetery, Winston County, Alabama, T12S R9W S8 Number 159 on the cemetery map Mary Polly Ingle, daughter of Peter Ingle and Catherine W. Tune and wife of John Clements, is buried here in the bottoms near wherethe Peter Ingle old home is located. The cemetery was down in the valley, southwest of Peter Ingle’s grave in the Ingle- Wakefield Cemetery, south of Lynn, above Ashbank Church, on the west side of the railroad. There were several graves in this small cemetery, including Paulser Ingle. However, her grave is the only one which had a marker. When Peter Ingle died, the watertables were so high that he could not be buried there. So Margaret Elizabeth Herndon Ingle directed that he be buried upon the hill, east of where Mary Polly Ingle was buried. His grave appears to have been on land other than Peter's and Catherine's land.
