: Searching for any descendants of Hugh McHaffey Henderson
: who lived near Double Springs. His daughter Nancy Henderson
: was my great grandmother. She had a sister named Margaret.

Nancy Henderson Parker is my great grandmother on my mother's side. Her siblings are James, Bill, Elizabeth, John Allen, Polly Ann, Hamby and Margaret. She had seven children, Zora Parker. Spillers. Jeff Parker, Thursey Parker, Katie Parker Hamby Parker, Hathy Turner, Belle Turner and John C. Hendreson. I am descended from John C. Henderson. She was born Oct. 10, 1844 and died Mar 4, 1930. She is buried at Mountain Springs Cemetery in Bankhead Forest. She has a headstone and the grave is easily found. The headstone is a double one. She is buried with Jeff Parker, her last husband. Her picture can be seen in a book called "Warrior Mountains Folklore" written by Rickey Butch Walker which I purchased at the Oakville Indian Musem near Moulton AL.
All this information comes from research by Maxine Spillers of Moulton, Al. and is available at the Lawrence Co. arcives.

I plan to look for more information concerning her and Mahathy on census rolls.
