Horton & Milton families, 1830 on

A fellow researcher told me years ago that he had seen the
marriage record for Abraham (Abram) Horton and Angeline G.
Milton. The date of the marriage given me was the same
(1828) as our bible records.
He said that they were married
in Kinlock, AL. After numerous requests for a pre-paid copy of this record, never received it and in my subsequent searches of Walker,
Hancock and Winston Counties, was told that no such record
existed. Have been unable to find in AL archives, Montgomery and would certainly
appreciate hearing from anyone
who may have advice, comments,
etc on this situation. I do
not have parentage or siblings
for my ancestor, Abraham B.
Horton, born 1808 S.C. Have
found land patent information
for Benjamin F. Horton dated 1856 but have been unable to track him down otherwise. My
Abraham and Angeline Horton were included in the 1830 census of Walker Co., AL; not
located for 1840, in Lawrence
Co., AL 1850 and 1860. From
Lawrence County, they migrated to NE MS before the CW. Does ANYONE know anything
about them? Thank you.
