His bother Ray Crane SR. passed away Dec 12, 2001, he was only 45. Then my mom Thelma Crane passed away Dec 20, 2001. We lost two precious people, and they were very close. My mom had a special place in her heart for her neices and nephews. I am trying to find an Aunt/Grandma in the family. LAST NAME:Beatty/BEATTIE, I think her first name was Jane. I cannot find any Beatty/Beattie names in the family history, but do recall family speaking of her. And that she was Indian, and a half sister to either Zoda Baughn or Clyde Crane. I wish I woul have ask my mom more quetions.

The author of the book you're talking about was the person we called "Uncle Joe". I remember going to his house when I was very young. I have one of the original copies of the book. Your great-grandfather is also my great-grandfather. My father's name was Joe Baughn. He passed away in January 2003.
