Susan was born in Clarke County, GA, November 28, 1818, and died April 6, 1900 in Winston County, AL. She is buried in Henryfield Cemetery in Double Springs. Her children were Samuel M., Eldon, Andrew D., Lucinda (Chapman), Delia (Nix), Thomas Franklin and Sarah/Sallie (Musgrove). Her oldest 3 boys fought in the Civil War for the Union (1st Alabama Cavalry). "Sausian" is what was written on her headstone.
