First Public High School erected in Haleyville, 1908

This school contained both the high school and grammer school and was located on the present site of Dobbs Lumber Company across from the First Baptist Church in Haleyville. The name was changed to Central Elementary in 1927, and the school closed in 1939. Thanks to Joyce Farris for the picture!
