John Aaron and Patience "Pachie" Bersheba Stevens were both born in Winston County. John Aaron, born November 4, 1881, was the son of Adam Bird and Mary (Swims) Stevens. Pachie, born December 23, 1879, was the daughter of William Carroll and Sarah Seprhonia (Evans) Taylor. The Stevens family moved from Winston to Lawrence County, Tennessee in 1920.
