(Polly) Dodd Cemetery (Destroyed), Winston County, Alabama, T11S R10W S33 Mr. Vaudrie Tittle's great-great-grandmother was Mary (Polly) (Sheffield) Dodd; she married Berry Dodd, who is buried in the Dodd Cemetery. According to the 1850 Hancock County Census, Mary was born about 1792. Berry died right after the 1860 census was made, and she was not listed with him. So she died between 1850 and 1860. Pulpwood Cutters destroyed the cemetery by moving the big rocks that covered her grave. In Natural Bridge on Hwy. 278 West, turn left on Hwy. 13 South. Go 1.5 miles, and turn left on County Road 356. Go 0.9 miles and park. Walk about a half mile down the road bed; the grave will be about ten yards to the left off this road bed.
