The death angel visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Butler on Saturday evening August 4th, and called away their loving little daughter, Silvia.

She was born September 11, 1913, and departed this life August 4th, 1917, making her stay on earth three years and eleven months.

She is gone but not forgotten. Her little body was laid in the Barnett school house cemetery, August 5th to wait and sleep in the narrow limits of the tomb, until the resurrection morn. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. C. H. Tanksley. Little Silvia leaves father, mother, 4 brothers and 4 sisters and a great many friends to mourn her loss.

O, weep no more for little Silvia,
She's on that peaceful shore,
Where pain and sorrow never comes
Her toil on earth is o'er.
Her little face no more we'll see,
She has gone above to God,
O, mama, do not weep for her -
Her suffering here is done.
But think how sweet to be with her,
Happy in Jesus' home.
She is gone, but not forgotten
Never will her memory fade.
Sweetest thought shall ever linger,
Till the setting sun is low.
Feeling all our hopes are perished,
With the flower we cherished so.
You miss your baby, papa, dear,
We know you miss her here,
But think of the crown that she has won,
In heaven so bright and fair.
You should not grieve for her, nor sigh.
The Lord in heaven, thought best
Her little spirit soars on high,
While her body lies at rest.
We shall sleep but not forever,
There will be a glorious dawn,
We shall meet to part, no, never
On the resurrection morn.
A true friend,
Ethel M. G.
