These descriptions of the Winston County School Districts in 1904 was taken from a book at the courthouse.
Map, District #1:
Commencing at the four mile past? of Township 9, Range 6 on Cullman County line, thence west to Rock Creek, thence said creek to the mouth of Blevins Creek, thence up said creek to Cullman County line, lying in Winston County. Location of school at Sardis school or church house. F.T. McAdams says this is incorrect as to the North Boundary.
Upshaw, District #2:
Commencing at the northeast corner of Winston County, thence south to Rock Creek, thence down said creek to the New Georgia district line, thence westwardly along said district line and Tavern district to Capsey Creek, thence up said creek to the Lawrence County line, thence east along county line to the point of beginning. Location of school at or near the Upshaw school house.
New Georgia, District #3:
Commencing at the mouth of Boon Creek, thence up Rock Creek to the middle line of the south half of section 14, Township 9, Range 6, thence west to the section line between section 14 and 15, said township and range, thence north to central line of section 14 and 15, said townships and ranges, thence west to Boon Creek, thence down said creek to the point of beginning. Location of school at or near the Hunter school house. Deed recorded in Book 13, Pages 459 and 460.
Tavern, District #4:
East boundary commencing at Addison school district at Boon Creek, thence up said creek to the Upshaw district line, thence west to Capsey Creek, thence down said creek to the Brushy Fork Creek, thence down said creek to the section line one mile north of Township line between Township 9 and Township 10, thence east along said section to the Addison district line. Location at or near Tavern. Deed recorded in Book 13, Page 449.
McHann, District #5:
Commencing at the Addison district line at Seymore Creek, thence down said creek to Brushy Fork Creek, thence up Brushy Fork Creek to the Tavern district line or the section line, one mile north of the Township line, between Township 9 and Township 10, thence east along said line to the Addison district line. Location of school at a point between Mrs. Geraldine Moore’s and Elbert McHann’s, on said McHann land. School consolidated with Addison district 55 and land sold by state of Alabama.
Adcock, District #6:
Beginning at the county line between Cullman and Winston at the southwest corner of section 19, Township 9, Range 5 West, thence due east to Blevins Creek, thence up said creek to Lancy’s Mill, thence northwest along the Basham’s between Basham’s and Arkadelphia Road to the south side of section 32, thence west to the Winston County line, thence south to Rock Creek, thence down said creek to the Map district, thence east along said line to the Cullman County line at the point of beginning.
Mount Olive, District #7:
Commencing along the county line a point one mile east of the range line between range 7 and 8, thence south section line to Collier Creek, thence up said creek to said range line, thence south the said range line to the four mile post, thence west to Payne Creek, thence down Payne Creek to Sipsey River, thence up said river to the county line, thence east said line to the point of beginning. Location of school at or near where the old Mount Olive school house stood.
Oak Shade, District #8:
In Winston County commencing at county line of Lawrence where Capsey Creek crosses said line, thence down said creek to Brushy Fork Creek, thence up Brushy Fork to the mouth of Rush Creek, thence up said last named creek to the mouth of Brown’s Creek, thence up Barren’s Creek to the Lawrence County line. In Lawrence County, section 31 and 32 and west half of section 33 in Township 8, Range 6 in said county. Location of school at or near the Hickory Grove school house.
Pleasant Hill, District #9:
Commencing at Looney Fork Creek where the section line between 25 and 26 crosses said creek, Township 9, Range 9, thence down said creek to Sipsey River, to the Moulton and Double Springs Road, thence along said road to Sandy Creek, thence up said creek to section line between section 35 and 36, Township 9, Range 9, thence north said section line to the point of beginning. Location of school at or near where Pleasant Hill school house now stands.
Cranal, District #10:
Commencing at the northeast corner of the Shilo district line, thence east to the county line to Sipsey River, thence down said river to the mouth of Caney Fork Creek, thence up said creek to the Shilo district line, thence north said line to the point of beginning. Location of school at or near the Union Chapel Church House.
Ashridge, District #11:
Commencing at the north prong of Coney Fork Creek where the section line between sections 13 and 14 crosses said creek, thence south said section line to Sandy Creek said section line, Township 9, Range 9, thence down said creek to a point one-half mile south of the township line between townships 9 and 10, thence west to the east prong of Clear Creek, thence up said Clear Creek to the mouth of Hewson’s Creek, thence up Hewson’s Creek to the section line between sections 29 and 32, Township 9, Range 9, thence east to the Stove’s? Gulf Creek, thence up said creek to the line one-half mile north of the section line between 29 and 32, thence east said line to the east prong of Clear Creek, thence up to the Haleyville and Double Springs road, near center of section 21, Township 9, Range 9, thence east to Coney Fork Creek, thence down said creek to the point of beginning. Location of school at or near Ashridge School House building.
Shiloh, District #12:
Beginning at Hewson’s Creek where the line crosses between section 29 and 32, Township 9, Range 10, thence west said section line to Godsey’s Creek, thence up said creek to where it crosses range line between ranges 9 and 10, thence north said range line to the county line, thence east to the two mile past? Township 9, Range 9, thence south to the first prong of Caney Fork Creek, thence down said creek to the Ashridge district line, thence along said district line to the point of beginning. Location of school at or near Shiloh School House.
Franklin County School, District #13:
Beginning at northeast corner of section 21, Township 8, Range 10, thence west 3/4? miles to where Big Bear Creek crosses section line on south section of section 14, Township 8, Range 11, thence following meanderings of said creek to where it crosses section line between section 36 and 35, Township 8, Range 11, thence south 3/4 mile in section 35. Thence east about 1/2 mile, thence south 1/4 mile, thence south to ____ line, thence east 4 miles with county line, to southeast corner of section 33, thence north to the beginning point. This district also includes the following territory in Winston County: all of the territory north of Big Bear Creek, Township 9, Range 10.
Pebble, District #14:
Commencing at the northeast corner of the Haleyville district line and center of section 21, Township 9, Range 10, thence south to the Low Gap, thence east along the Low Gap and Biler district, to the Ashridge district, thence northernly along the Ashridge and Shiloh districts to the county line, thence west to the center district, thence south along the county district line, to the point of beginning. Location of school at or near Forkville school house. Pebble district to be extended south as to include the following SE1/4 of SW1/4, SW1/4 SE1/4 of section 11, NW1/4 of W1/2, NE1/4 section 14.
Center, District #15:
Commencing where the Newburg Road crosses Bear Creek, thence up said creek to county line, the county line east to Chilcoat Creek, thence up said creek to where it crosses the section line between sections 10 and 11, Township 9, Range 10, thence south said section line to the Biler Road, thence along said road to the Haleyville district line, thence north the Bell Springs district line to the point of beginning. Location of school at or where the Center school house now stands.
Holmes Chapel, District #16:
Commencing where Brown’s Creek crosses the county line of Lawrence County, thence down said creek to Rush Creek, thence down said last named creek to Brushy Fork Creek, thence up said creek to the mouth of Owl Creek, thence up said creek to county line all lying in Winston County. This district also includes 34, 35, 36, and that part of 33 east of Owl Creek, Township 8, Range 7, Lawrence County. Location of school at or near Holmes Chapel school house, Holmes Chapel, Winston County.
Bell Springs, District #17:
Commencing where the county line crosses Bear Creek, thence up said creek to the mouth of Quarter Creek, thence up said last named creek to the Haleyville district line, thence west along said district line to the Marion County line. Location of school at Bell Springs school house. District 17 was consolidated with 15 on May 30, 1930.
Low Gap, District #18:
Commencing at the southeast corner of the Haleyville district in section 9, Township 10, Range 10, thence north said district line of the center line of section 28, Township 9, Range 10, thence east to within one-fourth mile of the section line between 26 and 25, Township 9, Range 10, then south to the section line between 11 and 14, Township 10, Range 10, thence west to the northwest corner, Section 14, Township 10, Range 10, thence south one mile, thence west one mile, thence diagonal northwest across section 16, Township 10, Range 10 to its northwest corner, thence north and east to the point of beginning. Location of school at or near Center district at the Narrows. Section 3, Township 10, Range 10.
Biler, District #19:
Commencing at the northeast corner of the Low Gap district in section 28, Township 9, Range 10, thence south one-half mile, thence east to Range line between Ranges 9 and 10, thence north the Range line one-half mile, thence east through the middle of section 30, Township 9, Range 9, to Clear Creek at Ashridge district, thence due southwest to west fork or prong of Clear Creek, thence up said creek to the Low Gap district, thence northerly along said district line to the point of beginning. Location of school at or near center of district.
Delmar, District #20:
Commencing at the SW corner of the Haleyville district, thence east said district line to the Low Gap district, thence along last named district line to the SE corner, Section 15, Township 10, Range 10, thence due ____ one mile, thence diagonally southwest to the southwest corner, Section 27, Township 10, Range 10, then south one-half mile, thence northwest to the northwest corner of Section 33, Township 10, Range 10, thence due west to the Marion County line. Location of the school at or near the Delmar School House.
McNutt, District #21:
Commencing at the southeast corner of Delmar district on the section line between Sections 33 and 31, Township 10, Range 10, on the east and west centerline of said section, thence in a northerly direction along said district line to the Low Gap district at the southeast corner, Section 16, Township 10, Range 10; thence eastwardly along said district line and the Biler district, to the Deer district at the range line between Ranges 10 and 9, thence south said range line or Deer district line, to the King district at township line between Township 10 & 11, thence west said township line, to the Glen Mary district, at the southeast corner, Section 33, Township 10, Range 10, thence north one-half mile to the point of beginning. Location of school as near center of district land as can be procured.
Deer, District #22:
Commencing at the southeast corner, Section 33, Township 10, Range 9, at the northeast corner of Bold Springs district, on the township line thence west to the range line between Ranges 9 and 10, thence north said range line to the Biler district, thence along said district line to the east fork of Clear Creek to the Amos district, thence down said creek to where it's east and west forks come together, thence up the west fork of said creek to where it crosses the section line between Sections 27 and 28, Township 10, Range 9, thence south said section line to the point of beginning. Location of school near center of district.
Amos, District #23:
Commencing where the Ashridge, Pleasant Hill, and Rock Creek districts corner, thence south the Rock Creek district line to the Double Springs district, thence west along said district to Clear Creek, then up said creek to the Ashridge district, thence east said district line to the point of beginning. Location of school at or near Widow's Creek School House.
Rock Creek, District #24:
Commencing where the section line where the Sections 33 and 34, Township 9, Range 8, crosses Sipsey River, thence south said section line to the Double Springs district, thence west said district line to the southwest corner of the southeast 1/4 of the southwest 1/4 of Section 18, Township 10, Range 8, thence north to the section line between Sections 7 and 6, said township and range lines between Ranges 8 and 9, thence north said range line to Sandy Creek on the Pleasant Hill district line, thence down said creek to where it crosses the Moulton and Double Springs Road, thence north easterly along said road to the point of beginning. Location of school at or near Rock Creek School House.
Glen Mary, District #25:
Commencing at the northeast corner of Natural Bridge district, thence up Spring Creek to Township line between Township 10 and 11, thence west said line to the southeast corner, section 33, Township 10, Range 10, thence north to the Delmar district line, thence westwardly said line to Marion County line, south boundary line begin on Marion County line at the northwest corner of Natural Bridge district, thence east said district line to the point of beginning. Location of school at or near where Glen Mary school house now stands. District #25 now consolidated with 20.
Holly Grove, District #26:
Commencing where the range line between Ranges 7 and 8, cross Sipsey River, thence north said range line to the Moreland district, thence west to Payne Creek, thence down said creek to Sipsey River, thence up said creek to a point where the Rock Creek and Pleasant Hill district corner, thence south to the section line to Caney Creek, thence down said creek to the section line between Sections 23 and 24, Township 10, Range 8, thence said section line to within one-fourth mile of the southwest corner of Section 24, Township 10, Range 8, thence east one-fourth mile north of section line to Caney Creek, thence down said creek to Sipsey River, thence up said river to the point of beginning. Location of school at or near Holly Grove.
Enon, District #27:
Commencing at the mouth of Cane Creek, thence along the Holly Grove district line to the Double Springs district, thence south along said district to the southeast corner of the said last named district, thence continuing the section line west to Rock House Creek, thence down said creek to its mouth at Sipsey River, thence up said river to the point of beginning. Location of school at or near Enon Church.
Moreland, District #28:
Commencing at the mouth of Collier Creek, thence down Brushy Fork Creek to where it crosses the center line of Section 35, Township 9, Range 7, thence west said center line through Sections 34 and 33 to the section line between Sections 32 and 33, Township 9, Range 7, thence south said section line to the center line of Sections 4 and 5, Township 10, Range 7, thence west said center line of Sections 5 and 6, Township 10, Range 7, and Section 1, Rownship 10, Range 8, to the Payne Creek, thence up said creek to the south boundary line of Section 24, Township 9, Range 8, thence east to the range line between Ranges 7 and 8, thence north said range line to Collier Creek, thence down said creek to the point of beginning. Calloway, District #29:
Commencing at the southeast corner of Moreland school district, on the Brushy Fork Creek in middle line of Sections 35, Township 9, Range 7, thence down said creek to the mouth of Mile Creek, thence south said creek to the Houston district line, thence along said district line, to the Barnett district, thence northerly along said last named district line, to the Moreland district, thence eastwardly along the Moreland district line to the point of beginning. Location of school at or near Powell Spring on the Double Springs and Decatur road on the two acres of land deeded in care of J.W. Everett for school and church purposes.
Barnett, District #30:
Commencing at the Moreland district at the southwest corner, thence south the range line between Ranges 7 and 8, thence south said line to Sipsey River, thence down said river to Penitentiary, thence up said branch to the Moulton and Houston Road, thence across said road east 200 yards, thence north along said road at the distance of 200 yards from all points of it to the Moreland district line, thence west said district line to the point of beginning. Location at or near where the Barnett School House now stands.
Houston, District #31:
Commencing at the mouth of Penitentiary Branch on Sipsey River, thence down said river to Brushy Fork Creek, thence up said creek to the mouth of Mile Creek, thence up said creek to the Warren Branch, thence up said branch to the Barnett district line, thence southwardly said district line to point of beginning. Location of school at or near the Jenkins spring about fifty yards west of Yellow Creek on the road.
Knighten, District #32:
Commencing at the Addison district line at Seymore Creek, thence down said creek, to Brushy Fork Creek, thence down said creek to the Burns Branch, thence up said branch to the Addison district line, thence along said line to the point of beginning. Location of school near Robert Sudduth's.
Eagle, District #33:
Commencing at the southeast corner of the Addison school district, at Rock creek, thence west along the said district line to the Knighten district, thence south along said district and Brushy Fork Creek to the Union Grove district, thence east along said district and the Lindley school district to Rock Creek, thence up said creek to point of beginning. Location of school at or near where the Cool Springs School House now stands.
Lindley, District #34:
Commencing at the northeast corner of the Union Grove school district, thence east to Rock Creek, thence down said creek to the mouth of the Rock House Branch, thence up said branch to the Mellville district line, thence along the Mellville district line west to the Dismal Creek, thence up said creek to the Forks, thence up the West Fork of said creek to the Union Grove district, thence along said line to the point of beginning. Location of school at or near the Lindley School House.
Clear Creek Falls, District #35:
Commencing at the southwest corner of the half of Township 12, Range 7, on the Walker County line, thence east to Sipsey River, thence up said river to the mouth of Rock House Creek, thence up said creek to the range line between Ranges 7 and 8, thence south said range line to the point of beginning. Location of school at or near the Clear Creek Falls School House or the Methodist church.
Pine Torch, District #36:
Commencing at the northwest corner of Section 5, Township 9, Range 7, thence south to Collier Creek, thence down said creek to the mouth, thence up Brushy Fork Creek to the mouth of Owl Creek, thence up said creek to the mouth of Cole Branch, thence up said branch to the southeast corner of Section 16, Township 8, Range 7, Lawrence County, thence west to range line, between Ranges 7 and 8, thence south to the county line, thence east to place of beginning. Location of school at or near where the Pine Torch School House now stands in Lawrence County.
Black Pond, District #37:
Commencing where Clear Creek crosses the range line, between Ranges 7 and 8, Township 12, on the Walker County line, thence north to the middle of Section 24, Township 11, Range 8, thence west through the middle of Sections 24 and 23 to the section line between Sections 22 and 23, Township 11, Range 8, thence north to the northeast corner of Section 22, Township 11, Range 8, thence west to the northwest corner of Section 22, Township 11, Range 8, thence south to the southwest corner of Section 27, Township 11, Range 8, thence west to the middle of Sections 33 and 28, Township 11, Range 8, thence south to Clear Creek, thence down said creek to the point of beginning. Rocky Plains, District #40:
Commencing at the Lynn district on the township line between Townships 11 and 12 Township 11, Range 9, thence north to the center of Section 16, Township 11, Range 9, thence northeast to the northeast corner of last named section, same township and range, thence east to Clear Creek, thence downward creek to the section line between Sections 18 and 19, Township 11, Range 9, thence west to the northwest corner of Section 24, Township 11, Range 9, thence south one mile, thence east to Clear Creek, thence down said creek to Malta district, thence west said district line to the range line between 8 and 9, then south the range line one-half mile, thence west through the center of Sections 36 and 35 to the section line between 34 and 35, Township 11, Range 9, thence south to Yorkburgh district, then west along township line to the point of beginning. Location of school at or near the middle of Section 27, Township 11, Range 9. This district was consolidated with the Double Springs district.
Bold Springs, District #41:
Commencing on the township line between Townships 10 and 11, Range 9, at the northeast corner, Section 4, Township 11, Range 9, thence west the township line to a point one-fourth mile west of the range line between 9 and 10, to the northeast corner of the King district, thence south said district line to the Lynn district, thence east the section line along said district to the Rocky Plains district, thence northerly along said district to the northeast corner, Section 16, Township 11, Range 9, thence north the section line to the point of beginning. Location at or near Bold Springs School House, in section 17, township 11, range 9.
Haleyville, District #42:
Commencing at the middle of Section 7, Township 10, Range 10, at the Marion County line, thence east one-fourth mile east of the section line between Sections 9 and 8 in Township 10, Range 10, thence north to the center line of Section 28, Township 9, Range 10, thence east one-fourth mile to the center of Section 28, Township 9, Range 10, thence north to the center of Section 21, Township 9, Range 10, thence west to the center of Section 19, said township and range, thence south one-half mile to the section line between Sections 19 and 30, Township 9, Range 10, thence west to Marion County line, thence south said line to the point of beginning. Location of school Haleyville School House.
King, District #43:
Commencing one-fourth mile west of the range line between Ranges 9 and 10, on the section line between Sections 24 and 25, Township 11, Range 10, thence north one-fourth of mile west of said range line to the township line between Townships 10 and 11, in Range 10, thence west along the township line to Splunge Creek, thence south along said creek to the point of beginning. Location of school at the King's School House or Lizzard Hill.
Natural Bridge, District #44:
Commencing where the section line between Sections 3 and 10, Township 11, Range 10, crosses Splunge Creek, thence west said section line to the Marion County line, thence south along said line to the Cross Roads district line, thence east along said line to the Lynn district line, thence east and north along said district line to Splunge Creek, thence up said creek to the point of beginning. Location of school at Natural Bridge School House.
Lynn, District #45:
Commencing at the township line between Townships 11 and 12 at a point in the middle of Section 5, Township 12, Range 9, thence north said center line to the section line south boundary of Section 20, Township 11, Range 9, thence west to Splunge Creek, thence up said creek to the section line between Sections 22 and 23, Township 11, Range 10, thence south said line to the southwest corner of Section 23, said township, thence west three-fourths mile, thence due south to Black Water Creek, thence down said creek to Ash Bank district line, thence said line to point of beginning. Cross Roads, District #46:
Commencing at the Marion County line in the middle of Section 30, Township 11, Range 10, thence east through the center of Sections 30, 29, 28, and 27 to the Lynn district line, thence southerly along the Lynn and Coperas Spring district lines to the Walker County line. Location of school at or near the Cross Roads School House.
Copperas Spring, District #47:
Commencing where the township line between Townships 11 and 12, Range 8 crosses Black Water Creek, thence east said line to the center line of Section 3, Township 12, Range 10, thence south said line to the section line between 10 and 3 Township 12, Range 10, thence west one-fourth mile, thence south to the section line between Sections 10 and 15, Township 12, Range 10, thence west to the southwest corner of Section 10, Township 12, Range 8, then diagonally across Section 16, to the southwest corner of said section, Township 12, Range 10, to the Walker County line, east boundary commencing one-half east of the range line between Ranges 9 and 10, on the line between Walker County and Winston County, thence north to Black Water Creek, thence up said creek to the point of beginning. Commencing at the county line of Walker County, at the southwest corner of the half Township 12, Range 9, thence east to Black Water Creek in Section 15, Township 12, Range 9, thence down said creek to the mouth of Brown's Creek, thence up said creek to the Double Springs and Fayette Road, thence northeast along said road, to the township line between Townships 11 and 12, thence west to the center of Section 5, Township 12, Range 9, thence south one-half mile, thence west through the center of Section 6, Township 12, Range 9 to point of beginning. Stephenson, District #49:
Commencing at the southwest corner of the Map district, thence up Blevins Creek along the Map district line to the Cullman County line. South boundary line: commencing at the Mt. Zion district line, on Cullman County line, thence westwardly along the Mt. Zion and Freeman district line to Rock Creek, thence up said creek to the mouth of Blevins Creek the point of beginning. Location of school Stephenson School House.
Ardell, District #50:
Beginning at the mouth of Rock Creek, thence along Rock Creek to the mouth of Braglin Creek, thence up Braglin Creek to the north 1/4 line of Section 7, Township 12, Range 5, thence running said line east through Sections 7 and 8 to the east section line of Section 8, thence running said section line south to Ryan Creek, thence following said creek to Sipsey River, thence following said river to the starting point at the mouth of Rock Creek.
Yorkburgh, District #51:
Commencing at the southeast corner of Ashbank district on the county line, thence east to the range line between RangeS 8 and 9, thence north said range line to the northeast corner of Section 36, Township 11, Range 9, thence west said line to the northeast corner of Section 34, Township 11, Range 9, thence south to the township line between Townships 11 and 12, thence west to the Ashbank district line, thence south along said district line to the point of beginning. Location of school at Yorkburgh School House.
Malta, District #52:
Commencing at the northeast corner of Yorkburg district, thence east the section line to Clear Creek, thence down said creek to where it crosses the section line between Sections 14 and 15, Township 12, Range 8, thence south to the county line, west boundary line; the east boundary line of Yorkburg district. Location of school at or near where the Centerei?? School House now stands.
Mellville, District #53:
Sections 32 and 29 and southeast quarter of Section 31, Township 11, Range 6 West, also Sections 3, 4, and 5 and the north half of each of Sections 8, 9, and 10 and all of Section 6, that lies east of the west prong of Dismal Creek, all in Township 12, Range 6 West. All of the territory not included in Dismal, Ardell, and Anton districts to go to or be added to Mellville district. Location of school at Mellville School House.
Anton, District #54:
Beginning at the mouth of Rock Creek, thence up said creek to the township line between Township 11, Range 12, thence west to the northeast corner of Section 3, thence south to the line between Sections 3 and 10, thence west on the south boundary line of Mellville school district to the northwest corner of the NE 1/4 of Section 9, thence south to Sipsey River, thence down Sipsey River to the mouth of Rock Creek to the beginning point. All in Township 12, Range 6 West.
Addison, District #55:
Commencing at a point one and one-half miles due north of the site selected for the Addison High School building, and running due east to Boon Creek, thence along said creek to where it flows into Rock Creek, thence along said Rock Creek in a southerly direction, to a point joining the line which passes through a point one and one-half miles due south of the site selected for the said school building, thence to the point one and one-half miles south of said site, thence continuing due west one and one-half miles, thence north three miles, thence due east one and one-half miles to the point of beginning.

Beginning at the southwest corner of the Union Grove district, thence east along the south boundary line of the Union Grove school district, to the regular line dividing Ranges 6 and 7, thence south on said line to the west prong of Dismal Creek, thence down Dismal Creek to Sipsey River, up Sipsey River to the Walker County line, thence west to Sipsey River, to the mouth of Brushy Fork Creek, thence up Brushy Fork Creek to beginning corner. To be composed of parts of Townships 11 and 12, Range 6, and part of Townships 11 and 12, Range 7, Winston County, Ala.
Double Springs, District #57:
Beginning at the southeast corner of Section 24, Township 10, Range 8, thence north to northeast corner of Section 22, in said township and range, thence to the northwest corner of Section 19, in said Township and Range, thence south to the southwest corner of said last named section, thence west to Clear Creek, thence down said creek to the township line between Townships 10 and 11, thence east to the place of beginning.

Beginning at the mouth of Mill Branch, thence up said branch to the head of Mill Branch, thence east on section line between Sections 3 and 9 to White Oak Creek, thence up White Oak Creek to the line running east and west between Sections 24 and 25, thence west to Rock Creek, thence down Rock Creek to the mouth of Mill Branch, all in Township 10 and 11, Range 6.
Flat Rock, District #59:
Commencing at the county line between Winston and Cullman where it crosses Crooked Creek in Township 11, Range 6, thence down Crooked Creek running southwest to Rock Creek, thence down Rock Creek running southwest to the mouth of Braglin Creek, back to the county line, thence up Braglin Creek in Cullman County running through Township 12, Range 5, to Alexander's Mill, thence due east to the Jasper Road, thence due north along said road running due north to the old Inman Road, thence down said road to Crooked Creek, near A.L. Inman's, thence down Crooked Creek to starting point. Alternate description: Beginning at the county line between Winston and Cullman Counties where it crosses Crooked Creek in Township 11, Range 6 West, thence down Crooked Creek running southwest to Rock Creek, thence down Rock Creek running southeast to the mouth of Braglin Creek back to the county line, thence up said creek to the southwest corner of Section 32, thence due north one mile, thence east one-fourth mile, thence north one and one-half miles, thence west one-fourth mile, thence north to Crooked Creek, thence down Crooked Creek to the county line at the point of beginning.
Mt. Zion, District #60:
Beginning at the mouth of Whetstone Creek in Cullman County, thence north along said creek to section line between Sections 32 and 29 in Township 10, Range 5 West, thence west along said section line to White Oak Creek, thence southwardly with the meanderings of said creek to Crooked Creek in Winston County, Alabama, thence along Crooked Creek to a point of beginning.
Poplar Springs, District #61:
Beginning at the mouth of Crooked Creek running up the north bank of said creek to the range line between Ranges 5 and 6, thence north to the northeast corner of Section 12, thence west to the head of Mill Branch, down Mill Branch to Rock Creek, thence down Rock Creek to the beginning point. All in Township 11, Range 6, in Winston County, Alabama.
Union Grove, District #62:
All of Sections 7, 18, and 19 and the northwest quarter of Section 30, Township 11, Range 6, Sections 12, 13, and 24 and all that part of Sections 23 and 14, that line east of Brushy Creek in Township 11, Range 7 in Winston County, Alabama, making Brushy Creek the line on west side of said district.
