Funeral services were held last Saturday afternoon at 3 O' clock for Mrs. T. M. Bonds, 82, well-known matron of Haleyville. The Rev. Jerry Burns was in charge of the services which were held at Fairview.

Mrs. Bonds died at her home Friday after an illness which had lasted three weeks. If she had lived until October 4, she and her husband would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Five generations, including two great-great grandchildren, were present at the funeral.

She is survived by her husband; five sons, A. W. Bonds of Michigan, W. M. and D. Bonds of Haleyville, Wash Bonds of Double Springs, Lawson Bonds of Hackleburg; seven daughters, Mrs. Lougenia Shipman of Haleyville, Mrs. Docendia Barnett of Nauvoo, Mrs. Acenia Hamrick of Haleyville, Mrs. Salina Fortenberry of Thaxton, Miss., Mrs. Winnie Wamble of Birmingham, Mrs. Daisy Howell of Double Springs and Mrs. Velce Baker of Haleyville.

Four sons and two son-in-law were pall bearers. Nichols Funeral Home directed.
