Mrs. Unie Pearl Alexander, age 74, of route 4, Winfield, died on Saturday, December 9, 1978 in the Guin Hospital in Guin. She was born in Marion County and was a resident of Illinois for 18 years before moving back to Winfield, where she spent the rest of her life. She was a member of the Brilliant Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband Mr. Virgil Alexander; four sons, Carl, E. J. and Ralph of Rickford, Illinois and Carrol of Chicago, Illinois; 11 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; four half-sisters, Mae Gann, Beaverton; Alice Dickson, Winfield; Selma Whitman, Brilliant; Viola Derryberry, Brimingham; two half-brothers, Earlie Stanford; Mississippi; Dewey Stanford, Mobile; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Monday December 11, 1978 at 2 p.m. from the McGraw Memorial Chapel of the Miles Funeral Home in Winfield with burial in the Marion County Memorial Gardens in Guwin.
