Thomas Sylvester Wilson and Mary Talitha (Cagle) Wilson, 1905

Thomas Sylvester Wilson was born November 29, 1862, in Winston County, Alabama. He died February 26, 1936, in Beckham County, OK. Thomas was the son of James M. Willson (born about 1810 in South Carolina and died before 1900 in Winston County) and Nancy Emily Bell (born December 1814 in Georgia and died after 1900 in Winston County). Nancy was the daughter John Bell and Rhoda Elizabeth (Bates). Rhoda later remarried to Henry Strothers Gaines.

Thomas married Mary Talitha Cagle about 1878 in probably Winston County. She was the daughter of Loyd Hiram Cagle (born October 20, 1820, in Montgomery County, NC and died November 26, 1894, in Winston) and Catherine (born 1820 in TN and died before 1865 in Winston). Loyd remarried to Clerissa Tittle Lovett on October 25, 1865. Clerissa was born March 30, 1837, in AL and died June 29, 1907, in Winston.

Mary was born January 27, 1864, in Winston and died November 18, 1909, in Beckham County, OK. Thomas and Mary moved to Wayne County, Tennessee, about 1885 and then moved to Oklahoma in 1893. Both are buried in Buffalo Cemetery in Beckham County, OK.
